Up-to-date learning facilities to be provided to tribals

Nashik, Jan 4 (UNI) The lands with ashram schools and hostels under the tribal department in the state are leased to some extent; Efforts have been underway for the last two months to transfer these lands to the Tribal Areas. Spacious building and up-to-date learning facilities are important aspects of educational development. To provide all these facilities Under the guidance of Adv K C Padvi, Minister of State for Tribal Development Prajakt Tanpure and Secretary, Tribal Development, Shri Anup Kumar Yadav, efforts are being made by the Tribal Commissionerate.
As mentioned in the government press release today, there are 502 government ashram schools of tribal development department in 21 districts of the state where about one lakh eighty thousand students are studying; There are also 491 government tribal hostels with about 60,000 students. There are 31 integrated tribal development projects in these 21 tribal dominated districts.

Of these, a total of 270 government ashram schools, offices and boys 'and girls' hostels are on lease basis and lands in 168 places are in the possession of the tribal department, but it is not recorded in the rights record, that is, on seven or twelve transcripts. The monthly rent for the building is heavily funded by the Tribal Development Department, but there are difficulties in providing basic facilities as there is no record on 7/12.
Ashram schools require five acres at district level and three acres at taluka level. Also, one acre of land is required for hostels in both district and taluka. As per this requirement, the Tribal Development Department has personally requested the District Collectors of all the concerned districts to transfer the said lands in the name of the department and also to make new land available through semi-official letter.
