Sri Lanka 1st Innings: Playing for Delhi Capitals, Anrich Nortje bowled the fastest ball in the IPL history in IPL 2020 last season. His raw pace was once again on display in the 2nd test against Sri Lanka. The South African paceman in hostile bowling spell took 6 Lankan wickets for just 56 runs to bowl out the visiting team for just 157 runs.
Before Lunch: Kushal Perera hit 67 ball 60 but as expected Sri Lankan innings is in complete disarray in front of the South African pace battery. Half of the Lankan side was back in pavilion with only 84 on board at Lunch.
The visiting team captain Dimuth Karunaratne was the first to go back to pavilion after just 2 runs on board. Perera played a blinder post that and slammed half-century. But after he got out, Sri Lanka quickly lost the wicket of Kushal Mendis without scoring.
