Two killed in separate road accidents in Gurugram

Gurugram, Jan 3 : A 40-year-old man and a woman were killed in two separate accidents in Gurugram, the police said on Sunday.

In both the incidents the errant vehicle drivers are yet to be identified.

Hansmukhi (40) a native of Farrukhabad district of Uttar Pradesh, who used to work as a cleaner in a top hotel in Gurugram, was on her way to her home at Kapashera in Delhi on Friday evening when she was hit by an unknown speeding vehicle near the Delhi-Gurugram border on National Highway 48. Since then she was undergoing treatment at a private where she died on Saturday, the police said.

A complaint in this regard was filed by the deceased's son Pradeep Kumar at the DLF Phase – 3 police stations against an unknown vehicle driver.

In the second case, Budhram of Rewari district was also hit by an unknown vehicle on the Pataudi road on Friday.

The victim was rushed to a hospital in Pataudi area by a passerby named Pradeep with the help of his friends.

Later the victim was referred to the civil hospital in Sector-10 Gurugram, where he died during treatment on Sunday.

A case was filed against an unidentified vehicle driver at the Bilaspur police station in Gurugram.

"In both the incidents the errant vehicle driver fled the spot but the investigation team of both the police stations are scanning the CCTV footage of the incident spots to get some clue against the culprits," said Subhash Boken, spokesperson of the Gurugram police.
