German regulator impose fines on Mobilcom-debitel, Sky Deutschland call centre

The German Federal Network Agency, Bundesnetzagentur, said it has imposed a fine of EUR 145,000 on the call center Cell it! for unsolicited telemarketing. According to the Federal Network Agency, Cell it! operated on behalf of Mobilcom-debitel. It sold third-party subscriptions to audiobooks and magazines, video-on-demand services, security software and mobile phone insurance to customers. After the phone calls, additional services were offered and in some cases also added to the bills without the consent of the customers.
