German CSU party to adopt digital agenda for 2021 at upcoming meeting - report

The German Christian Social Union (CSU) party will adopt the proposal for a digital agenda for 2021 at a meeting in Berlin on 06-07 January, Heise Online reports. The paper, which was revealed by the Deutsche Presse Agentur, includes seventeen points. It demands a rapid expansion of the network, digital identification on smartphones and a tax for US internet companies such as Google and Amazon. The CSU will propose a "Europe-wide regulation for a minimum taxation" of large US digital corporations.
