Another quiet release week. One of the biggest games coming out later this week is the Switch port of Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Heart of the Forest.

As usual, the first few weeks of January are mostly empty. Consider this a good time to dig into your backlog, read some books, or do what I do, replay old games you’ve already played. Again. Because, while the calendar says 2021, my mind is still stuck in a 2020 funk and I just need mindless comfort most nights.

Beyond Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Heart of the Forest, some other stuff is coming out this week too. Check out the full list below:

I haven’t played HotF, but it’s always bummed me out that White Wolf got snatched up by CCP who did nothing with them other than waste 9 years developing an MMO that never materialized, then Paradox, who will license the various IP out to seemingly anyone with a spare $20.

It looks like Bloodlines 2 is or fire at the moment, and thought Werewolf Earthblood doesn’t look entirely awful, it certainly isn’t the AAA treatment the IP deserves. After decades of D&D getting so many dope video game adaptations, it sucks to be a fan of old White Wolf and only have the original Bloodlines and those half-decent Hunter games from the PS2/Xbox to point to.
