Incessant rain accompanied with hailstorms at some places has intensified the winter chill in Uttar Pradesh and also led to a further plunge in mercury. Our correspondent reports that many parts of the state experienced rain today also.
Weather changed from yesterday and heavy to moderate rains lashed many parts of the state today also. Rain along with Strong winds badly affected the sowing of wheat and other crops. Agriculture experts say that it will delay the sowing of wheat by 7 to 10 days.
Hailstorms at some places also damaged the crops and potato and mustard farmers are the worst-hit. While Yesterday western parts of state experienced rain along with hailstorm today districts of eastern part and bundelkhand region recieved heavy to moderate rain.
Rains caused drop in maximum temperature while minimum temperature remained above normal. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the same weather will continue for one more day and only after that Sky will be clear. Fog and moderate rain is also expected in many parts of the state tomorrow.
