Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Monday directed all the secretaries and Heads of Departments to complete all promotions of employees at the State Secretariat and district level without any delay and not later than January 31. The instructions were issued in the wake of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s recent directions that promotions in all departments should be taken up immediately.

The Chief Secretary was speaking at a meeting with all the Special Chief Secretaries, Director General of Police, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries at BRKR Bhavan here. He asked the secretaries to also complete appointments on compassionate grounds without any delay. Consequential vacancies arising due to promotions should also be included in direct recruitment notifications, he said.

Somesh Kumar said that weekly meetings would be held every Wednesday (i.e. January 6, 13, 20 and 27) to review promotions, compassionate appointments and direct recruitment vacancies. All the Secretaries and HoDs assured that they would take up these issues on priority as per the Chief Minister’s directions.

Chief Advisor to government Rajiv Sharma, Advisors Anurag Sharma, Dr.K.V.Ramana Chary, A.K.Khan and S K Joshi, DGP Mahender Reddy, Purnachander Rao, Gopi Krishna, Special Chief Secretaries Rani Kumudini, Suresh Chanda, Adhar Sinha, Principal Secretaries Rajat Kumar, Arvind Kumar, Ramakrishna Rao, Sunil Sharma, Jayesh Ranjan, Ravi Gupta, Harpreet Singh, Secretaries and Collectors of all districts attended the meeting.
