Samsung may launch Galaxy SmartTag with the S21 series of phones
NEW DELHI: It appears that this time Samsung will beat Apple. It has been rumoured for a while now that Apple has been working on a tracking device likely to be called AirTags. However, it is still not clear as to when the company will launch the device. Recently, an online report by Sammobile, revealed that Samsung is working on the Apple AirTags rival called SmartTag.

Now, a fresh online report suggests that the company might launch the device on January 14 along with the Samsung Galaxy S21 series. A Taiwanese website also shared some live images of the yet to launch Samsung Galaxy SmartTag recently.


The Galaxy SmartTag will come in Black colour option and looks a lot like the popular Tile trackers. The device is also said to offer Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag is expected to be priced around Ra 1,800 and is also said to be compatible with Samsung's SmartThing Find feature.


Meanwhile, Samsung has finally confirmed the launch date of its next-generation Galaxy S series smartphones. The company started sending out media invites for its Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event. Likely to unveil the Galaxy S21 series phones, the Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event will be organised on January 14. The event will be broadcasted on Samsung Newsroom India along with the company’s official website at 8:30 pm.


This year’s event comes with the tagline ‘Welcome to the Everyday Epic’. As per the media invite, it is expected that the smartphone maker may also bring “devices that can transform everyday life into an extraordinary experience” along with its new flagship Galaxy S series phones.


In India, the Samsung Galaxy S21 series of smartphones will be available via Amazon. The e-commerce giant has also created a dedicated page of smartphones.
