The Madhya Pradesh government issued an order to shut down all the Covid-19 centres except in Bhopal citing declining coronavirus cases. The order was issued to district collectors saying that the majority of COVID-care centres were witnessing minimum bed occupancy so all such centres will be shut down from January 1, 2021, barring the one in Bhopal. The order further stated that if there is an increase in the number of patients in the future, districts should seek special permission to reopen Covid-care centres.
