Sticker and signature campaign held at Imphal

Imphal, January 02 2021: District administration and District Social Welfare Office Imphal West in association with Youth Initiatives Manipur organised a sticker and signature campaign under the theme "Enjoy drive without psychoactive substances, Let's enjoy without drug" at Imphal West DC complex, today.

The campaign is conducted as part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA).

Speaking to media persons, ADC/ ADM Imphal West, Yumnam Nelson said that the campaign is a continuing process which began on August 15 2020 .

Saying that the State is still struggling to find a solution to alcohol-induced behaviours such as driving and related accidents, deaths, and destructions, he added that the rate of road accidents will reduce drastically once people stop driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

Everyone knows that abusing drugs doesn't do any good to society but still many of the youths here abuse drugs due to peer pressure or reasons best known to them, he said and appealed to all to contribute in this fight against drugs for the State to prosper.

Imphal West DC N Praveen also took part in the signature campaign.

Stickers were also pasted at the vehicles parked inside the DC complex and passing in the street nearby.
