Srinagar, Jan 2 (UNI) Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday evening said no vaccine belongs to any political party and if more and people get vaccinated it will be better for the country and economy.

Vice president of the National Conference (NC) was reacting to Samadwadi Party (SP) Chief and former Chief minister of Uttar Pradesh (UP) Akhilesh Yadav that he will not get 'BJP vaccination.'

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter Omar said “ I don’t know about anyone else but when my turn comes I’ll happily roll up my sleeve & get a COVID vaccine. This damn virus has been far too disruptive & if a vaccine helps bring about a semblance of normalcy after all the chaos then sign me up”.

He further tweeted “ The more people who get vaccinated the better it will be for the country & the economy. No vaccine belongs to any political party, they belong to humanity & the sooner we get vulnerable people vaccinated the better”.
