MP CM spends time with have-nots

Bhopal, Jan 1 (UNI) Even as India continues its relentless march towards attaining the cherished objective of becoming a developed nation in letter and spirit, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan commenced the new year with welfare of the underprivileged.
It was officially learnt that the veteran leader reached Indore’s Panchsheel Nagar slum and lent a patient ear to residents’ woes. He met paralytic Dwarikabai (65) and directed Collector Manish Singh to ensure her treatment. The senior politician interacted with Aditya (4) who is differently able and assured his parents that the boy will receive best medical care. Shubhangi was overjoyed to receive a laptop and a tricycle whereas widowed Deepali was presented a sewing machine.

MP’s Chouhan team to be expanded

Bhopal, Jan 1 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh’s Shivraj Singh Chouhan Council of Ministers is to witness expansion on Sunday, sources said.
The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to commence at 1230 hrs in Raj Bhavan where Governor Anandiben Mafatbhai Patel will administer the oath of office and secrecy.

Bhopal, Jan 1 (UNI) Describing the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana as nothing short of a boon for “our underprivileged sisters and brothers,” Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan averred on Friday that Premier Narendra Modi’s pledge to provide concrete dwellings for all will be fulfilled by 2022 in the state, official sources said.
“Thus far, in excess of 7.24 lakh abodes have been sanctioned – construction of three lakh units is complete, work is progressing on two lakh more and a lakh houses were allocated. The Light House Project is a revolutionary initiative. The quality dwellings will be not only disaster resistant but also environment friendly. It is a matter of pride that the country’s cleanest city Indore is among those selected under LHP under which in excess of a thousand residences based on novel technology shall be built in the city at a projected expenditure of Rs 128 crore,” Mr Chouhan said.

HP: Kangra reports 46 new cases of COVID-19
