CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has introduced a new set of rules for all written exams.
All question papers from now on will have five answer options -- (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E) -- instead of four. Of this, candidates should choose the (E) option in case they don't know the answer for the question.
Also candidates should use only a black ball pen to shade the answer options and no other colour or type of pen should be used. An empty space will be provided at the end of paper in which candidates should enter the total number of questions attempted.
A total of 15 minutes will be given at the end of the exams for this purpose. In case they leave the said column empty, five marks will be deducted from their scores.
The press release added that candidates will be barred from taking up the exam in case they fail to arrive at the exam hall 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled time.
