EAC AOC-in-C visits forward bases in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh

New Delhi, Jan 2 (UNI) Eastern Air Command AOC-in-C Air Marshal Amit Dev visited the forward bases and Advance Landing Grounds in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh last week.
During his visit, the Air Marshal interacted with Air Warriors and reviewed the operational capabilities & preparedness of these Bases & ALGs, Shillong-based defence PRO Wing Commander Ratnakar Singh said.
He was also briefed on the ongoing modern infrastructure development projects aimed at improving the combat potential of the base.
The Air Marshal addressed and interacted with the station personnel and directed them to maintain high standards of safety, operational preparedness and security awareness.
The Air Marshal also reviewed all measures taken towards the prevalent COVID-19 pandemic.

New Delhi, Jan 2 (UNI) Noting that national security is paramount and the government has been making sincere efforts to give equal attention to all aspects related to security, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that the police dog squad can act as a force multiplier to ensure the safety of society, much like the way drones or satellites are being used in the country and they can be used effectively to detect drugs and in the fight against terrorism.
