Actress Deepika Padukone deleted all her tweets and Instagram posts on the night of 31st December. This left the Internet in shock.
The actor, who is quite active on social media, has zero posts and tweets as of now.
Fans were left wondering if maybe Deepika's account was fallen prey to hackers. However, a closer look revealed that the actress had changed her profile picture, and that maybe, she was highlighting an upcoming event.
Fans kept guessing the possible reasons behind this move.
While Deepika's posts were removed, her Instagram stories were still visible.
She has not issued any statement in this regard either.
Deepika has 52.5 million followers on Instagram and 27.7 million followers on Twitter.
A Twitter user posted a screenshot of her profile and wrote: "What's happening? Why?"
Another Twitter user wrote: "Deepika Padukone deletes all posts from Twitter and Instagram. Either she's quitting social media or it's a promotion strategy." "Strange," wrote another fan. Some fans requested the actress to get back to social media. "Please come back," read a tweet.
Deepika is on a vacation with husband Ranveer Singh to Rajasthan.
Actor Neetu Kapoor had shared a photo with Ranveer Singh and her son Ranbir Kapoor from Ranthambore a few days ago. Neither Deepika nor Ranbir’s girlfriend, actor Alia Bhatt, was not seen in the picture.
On the work front, Deepika will be seen in Shakun Batra’s domestic noir with Ananya Panday and Sidhant Chaturvedi.
Deepika is also rumoured to be a part of Shah Rukh Khan’s next Pathan, to be produced by Yash Raj Films.
