Rain harvesting essential

Nashik, Dec 31 (UNI) The need for implementation of 'Rain Harvesting System' for depletion of rain water in the soil has come up in connection with Godavari Pollution Prevention Public Interest Petition No. 176/2012. Therefore, all government and semi-government offices in the Nashik division should implement 'Rain Harvesting System' in the premises of their residences to strengthen the water resources through water recharge, said Nashik Divisional Commissioner Radhakrishna Game through a government circular.
In a circular issued by the Divisional Commissioner, Mr. Game, in this regard, it has been said that the Department of Water Resources is trying to increase the total ground water level by implementing various water conservation measures for reclamation of drinking water. Accordingly, Mr. Gamay has appealed to all the Heads of the Department of Water Resources through this circular to take into consideration the guidelines of the Department of Water Conservation and motivate all to participate in the strengthening of water resources through water recharge.
There are old constructions of government buildings and residences of various departments working in Nashik division. All the Heads of Departments have directed all the Government and Semi-Government Offices in their respective Departments to implement Rain Harvesting System in the premises of these Government Buildings, Government Residences and their premises.
