AR recovers illegal items in Moreh

Imphal, December 31 2020:
On 29 December, troops of Assam Rifles intercepted six Myanmar origin two wheelers plying illegally in the Indian territory at H Lhangcham along the Indo Myanmar border.
At 2 am troops carrying out area domination observed some motorcycles moving in the area.
On being asked to stop, the riders abandoned the two wheelers and fled across into Myanmar taking advantage of darkness and thick foliage.
On examining the two wheelers it emerged that the riders were carrying 30 diesel jerricans and four cases of beer.
The seized items along with the motorcycles were handed over to Customs Preventive force, Moreh for further legal action.
