Imphal, December 31 2020: Governor Dr Najma Heptulla, Chief Minister N Biren Singh, MP of Lok Sabha RK Ranjan and several leaders, political parties and organisations have wished the people on the occasion of new year.

Dr Najma greeted the people and wished for a happy new year 2021 and prayed, 'May 2021 bring laughter, friendship and prosperity to all our families, to our country and to our unique and beautiful State.

On this Happy New Year 2021, let us collectively resolve to dedicate ourselves towards building a prosperous and harmonious society'.

In his message, Chief Minister N Biren said that the year 2020 has been a difficult year because of COVID-19 pandemic however life continued and achieved much in development.

He remembered the valour of the brave soldiers and saluted the Covid warriors and urged everyone to take extra care for the health of the dear and near ones and resolve to do what is rightfully needed to be done.

The Chief Minister prayed that God grant everyone the wisdom and the strength to meet every challenge successfully and wished a happy and prosperous new year 2021.MP RK Ranjan also extended warm wishes for a happy, peaceful and successful 2021.Speaker Manipur Legislative Assembly Y Khemchand Singh, Deputy Speaker K Robindro Singh, Social Welfare Minister O Henry, Works Minister Th Biswajit Singh, Agriculture Minister Oinam Lukhoi Singh, Law and Legislative Affairs Minister Th Satyabrata Singh and Heikham Dingo Singh MLA Sekmai AC also wished the people a peaceful and prosperous 2021 .

Political parties including Lok Janshakti Party, Manipur State Unit, Manipur State Committee Democratic Bharatiya Samaj Party and Communist Party of India (Marxist) Manipur State Committee also extended their greetings.
