Brother Soumendu joins BJP; Suvendu says 'TMC will disintegrate'

Kolkata, Jan 01 (UNI) Days after the defection of former Bengal Transport Minister and Trinamool Congress heavyweight Suvendu Adhikari's to BJP, his brother Soumendu, who was recently removed from the post of administrator at Contai Municipality, joined the saffron brigade on Friday along with a host of other activists from the West Bengal's ruling party.
"Lotus will bloom in every home," said Soumendu even as his father Sisir Adhikari and another brother Dibyendu are still TMC MPs and have not given any indication of leaving the party.
Suvendu asserted that the TMC, of which he was a part till about a month ago, will "disintegrate" soon.
Adhikari, during a meeting here in Purba Medinipur, earlier claimed that Soumendu, together with a few Councillors and 5,000 TMC workers will switch over to the saffron party later in the day.
