EPFO retains 8.5% interest for ’19-20

New Delhi, December 31

The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has retained 8.5 per cent interest rate on employees’ provident fund (EPF) for 2019-20 for its over 6 crore members, and also began crediting the same into their accounts today.

Labour and Employment Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar said, “We had said that it would be our endeavour to provide 8.5 per cent interest on the EPF for 2019-20. We have issued a notification to that effect and also began crediting the amount.” — TNS
