KASSIA welcomes Industrial Corridor at Tumakuru

Bangalore, Jan 1 (KNN) Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) on Friday welcomed the approval of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs for constructing an Industrial Corridor at Tumakuru Industrial Area in Karnataka at an estimated cost of Rs 1,701.81 crore.
“We congratulate Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for this initiative to develop industrial nodes to attract investments into manufacturing and position India as a strong player in the Global Value Chain. The creation of such greenfield industrial cities with sustainable, plug & play, ICT-enabled utilities will fulfil the much required need for quality, reliable, sustainable and resilient infrastructure to industries,” K B Arasappa, President, KASSIA said in a statement.
“We request the concerned authorities to take up this ambitious project on mission mode and commission it without any unnecessary delays that may push up the project cost. Tumakuru Industrial Area is a project that will fulfil the aspirations of thousands of small entrepreneurs in the district,” he added.
