CCpur police arrest one more

CCpur, December 30 2020: Churachandpur police arrested one more suspect in connection with the arms snatching case at Kangvai outpost, taking the total number of the alleged gang members involved in the case to five.

Sources said that the police, while continuing their search operation, arrested one Lalrinpui Vaiphei, 21 s/o Thangneilen Vaiphei last night at about 11 pm.

He is said to be a resident of Molsang village, Kangpokpi district.

Till date, Churachandpur police has arrested 5 persons and seized several arms and other incriminating items but is yet to recover the missing weapon.

Meanwhile, the Churachandpur police seized 62 litres of DIC liquor and 10 litres of 1MFL from Khumuzamba and Old Bazar.

The Community Police Centre located at New Bazar also recovered one lost Activa and handed over the same to its rightful owner.
