Bangladesh reports 1,235 new cases of COVID-19, 22 deaths

Dhaka, Dec 30 (UNI) Bangladesh on Wednesday reported 1,235 fresh cases of COVID-19, even as 22 more people died from the virus in the last 24 hours.
With the latest additions the number of infections has now reached 5 lakh 12 thousand 496, while the death toll has now risen to 6,531.
This information was given in the press release of the Department of Health about the coronavirus on Wednesday afternoon.
Additional Director General (Administration) Professor Nasima Sultana further mentioned that 1,507 people recovered in the same period. A total of 4 lakh 57 thousand 60 people have recovered so far in the country.
