Governor, Nitish greet people on new year

Patna, Dec 31 (UNI) Bihar Governor Fagu Chauhan and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today
extended greetings to people on new year and wished them a very happy and prosperous
lives.
Governor Mr Chauhan, in his message, said that people should celebrate the new year
with spirit of love, mutual co-existence and brotherhood.
It was time for them to take pledge to work for prosperity and development of Bihar, he
noted.
Governor said that concerted and united effort should be made by all to accelerate the
face of development with justice.
He wished for Bihar to move on fast track of development with full pace in New year.
Chief Minister Mr Kumar also wished the people very happy and prosperous new year.
May God shower heaps of blessings on people of Bihar for development and prosperity
in the New year, he added.
Chief Minister called upon the people to enjoy new year celebrations with care and full
spirit of love, affection and fraternity.
The state government would try its best to improve further the quality of life of people of
Bihar, he noted.

Covid-19 improve Health sector in Nagaland

Kohima, Dec 31 (UNI) Along with the world, Nagaland also infected by the COVID-19 outbreak, which came as a blessing in disguise in improvement in Health sector of the state which has given opportunity to have more modern equipments and laboratories in many interior hospitals

Nagaland got three Bio-Safety Level (BSL) laboratories; the first such laboratory was inaugurated by the Chief Minister at Naga Hospital in Kohima in May, and the other laboratories in Dimapur and Tuensang districts. The state now has 1,986 beds in COVID-19 care centres, while the number of ventilators has increased to 68 and ambulances in Government hospitals to 110. The administration created 330 different posts of medical personnel during the period. Nagaland reported its first three cases on May 25 among returnees from Chennai. Since then, the state has reported 11,927 infections till December 31. Around thirty thousand stranded state’s residents have returned to the state during the lockdown.
