Lawlessness was rampant in Cong tenure: MP CM

Bhopal, Dec 30 (UNI) Amidst a crackdown on mafias in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan fired a broadside at the Congress by averring on Wednesday that every criminal network – “patronised” by that party – is being demolished.
“In the not-too-distant future, our state shall be liberated from the scourge of organised crime. The formation of the predecessor Congress dispensation actually provided a lease of life to the underworld and the crime graph spiralled. The land mafia has perpetrated major unauthorised construction subsequent to encroachment. Some years back, we resolved to eliminate banditry and succeeded,” the senior politician conveyed via social media.
