Tune in online for a festive boat parade
THE DETAILS: The Independence Seaport Museum’s annual Parade of Lights - which features a series of boats sailing up the Delaware River while decked out in holiday lights, wreaths, and other decorations, along with an appearance from Santa Claus - will not happen in person in 2020. However, the museum is committed to keeping the tradition alive and will instead host a virtual viewing party for a pre-recorded parade on Saturday, December 12 at 5:30 p.m. The video will be broadcast on the museum’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube accounts. Watch Afrika!’s Magical Musical Holiday Step Show
THE DETAILS: Is the first professional company dedicated to the tradition of stepping, puts on a holiday extravaganza every year. The 2020 edition of the family-friendly show, which combines clapping, stomping and stepping for a dazzling array of percussive dance, will be a free, virtual experience. Recorded at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, the show will feature furry friends from the animal kingdom, including Popper the Penguin and polar bear twins, and enough rhythm to have your whole living room rockin’.

THE DETAILS: The National Museum of American Jewish History's annual Being at Christmas event is going virtual this year, with a full slate of digital programming on December 25 including live musical performances, on-demand educational activities, at-home art lessons, and more festive, family-friendly fun.
