New Delhi, Dec 31 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Thursday greeted the people on the eve on New Year.

In his message, Mr Birla said, 'I wish a happy New Year 2021 to all fellow Indians. I pray to the Almighty that the new year fills your lives with happiness, joy and enthusiasm.

The year 2020 posed extraordinary challenges for the entire world. But looking for an opportunity even in these difficult times, we have been able to keep ourselves and our country's progress in an upward movement. In the fight against the Coronavirus, the whole society has displayed remarkable unity and collective spirit.

'Our Corona warriors have participated with unwavering commitment and dedication in this fight and I congratulate them all.

'It is customary to take a resolution on the occasion of the New Year. Let us resolve in this new year for the creation of a new 21st century India.

'I, once again, convey my heartiest greetings of the New Year to all and hope that the New Year brings happiness, prosperity and peace in your lives and may all your dreams come true.'
