The police have booked a Dera Bassi resident, Binder Singh, for sexually harassing a 13-year-old girl on the complaint of her father.
In his complaint to the police, the father of the victim, a resident of Issapur village, said the suspect was the husband of the victim’s tutor.
The incident took place at the suspect’s house when his wife was not there around 10 am on Monday. The suspect bolted the door of the house from inside and tried to abuse her.
The victim raised an alarm, following which the suspect fled from the spot.
