Dravidam is not an asset of DMK and AIADMK alone: Kamal Haasan

TRICHY: Actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan on Wednesday said giving teeth to Lokayukta (public anti-corruption ombudsman) will be his first step if he becomes the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
During his election campaign in Pudukottai district, Kamal said strengthening Lokayukta would be the foundation for all “our initiatives.”
Asked about the contradiction in his statements that he was a Dravidian but wanted to be an alternative to Dravidian parties, the MNM chief said, “Dravidam is not an asset of the DMK and the AIADMK alone. In fact, it is applicable to all. Archaeological finding say that Dravidam come from Harappa and Mohenjo Daro (Indus valley civilisation),” he said.
Asked on prepoll alliance with political parties, he said a decision would be taken in January. But his party members wanted him to lead the alliance and he also wished the same, Kamal said.
