Three arrested for vehicle thefts

The police have arrested three persons involved in vehicle thefts and recovered 24 motorcycles and four cars from their possession.

Shivdeep Singh Brar, SHO of the Phase 1 police station, said: “The police have arrested Amritpal Singh (22), a resident of Nabha, Navtej

Singh (21), a resident of Khamanon village, and Sahil Sharma (22), a resident of Karnal, in various cases of theft. So far, 14 motorcycles and four cars have been recovered from them.”

“Their two accomplices - Rohit and Sandeep - are absconding. More vehicles are likely to be recovered from the suspects,” he said.

The police also recovered some motorcycles from Ravinder Giri, alias DC, a resident of Shampur village, Sohana, Sharanjit Singh, alias Sunny, a resident of Mote Majra village, and Kavi Singh, a resident of Bhago Majra village. All three suspects are in judicial custody.
