Vi offering 50GB extra data with Rs 1499 prepaid plan

Vodafone Idea is offering 50GB to some of its subscribers but there is a catch. The users who have recharged their numbers with Rs 1499 can get 50GB of extra data. The prepaid plan comes with 24GB data but now with 50GB additional data, the plan would offer a total data of 74GB.

The offer has not been announced by Vodafone Idea officially but OnlyTech reports that Vodafone is offering additional 50GB of data to selected users with Rs 1499. As per reports, the extra data is offered through the app while some users gave received the offer through the SMS.

The Rs 1499 prepaid plan comes with a total data of 24GB, offers truly unlimited calling benefits, and comes with a validity of 365 days. So this is basically a yearly plan that is best suited for callers. It also comes with a total of 3600 SMS.

Reports have stated that the extra data is being offered as a New Years' gift and it has not been revealed for how long will the plan be valid. Some of the users have already spotted the 50GB data but it has not been announced officially or displayed on the website. It was speculated that users who plan to recharge with Rs 1499 now can get the offer. However, it is not clear whether the extra data benefit has been made available in all the circles.

However, some users have reported on Twitter that despite recharging with 1499, they did not get the extra data. The Twitter user stated that the offer was listed on the app but he did not get it when he recharged his number with Rs 1499. He wrote, "#vodafoneidea fraud company... Free 50 GB data free on the recharge of Rs 1499 showing in ur VI app..proof is attached with this tweet...I did rechrge of Rs 1499 but 50 Gb free data is not credited. your company is doing fraud with cx's."

On a related note, Vodafone recently announced Rs 399 digital exclusive plan for users who book a new SIM from the website. The plan is valid with both prepaid and postpaid options. The Rs 399 prepaid plan offers 1.5GB per day along with 100 SMS per day. It comes with a validity of 56 days and provides access to Vi Movies & TV.
