GPPL has seen a major long-term consolidation from Rs 82 to Rs 99 for the last couple of months. The price has not been able to break and move past the Rs 100-Rs 102 zone after several attempts of a breakout. There are three main resistance points: A 200-period weekly moving average, trendline coming down from April 2016 to January 2018, and horizontal resistance at Rs 100-102. A breakout above this zone could lead to a rally to Rs 130 and above that to Rs 150 in a matter of a couple of weeks. At the current level, GPPL is a low risk buy for 6-8 weeks.

If this is a potential wave and it materializes, then we are likely to see a rally towards Rs 55 and above that to Rs 65. Price movement from Rs 30-45 in November 2020 was on good increase in volumes, which contracted on decline from Rs 45 to the current levels of Rs 42. A price correction in National Aluminium is a good chance to buy the stock for a rally towards Rs 55 and above that to Rs 65. Keep a stop loss below Rs 36 and hold for 6-8 weeks.
