MG Motor India, Tata Power inaugurate first 60kW superfast EV charging station in Coimbatore

MG Motor India and Tata Power today inaugurated the first 60kW superfast public EV charging station in Coimbatore. Located at MG Motor India dealership in the city, the facility can be utilised by all the electric vehicles compatible with CCS fast-charging standard.
The initiative is part of MG Motor India’s recent partnership with Tata Power for the deployment of 50kW and 60kW DC superfast charging stations across the country.
“Coimbatore is a key industrial hub of India. As our nation moves towards a green and sustainable future, it calls for India’s business leaders and industry veterans to actively participate and drive the much-needed change. We are delighted to launch Coimbatore’s first superfast public charging station at our dealership that will facilitate the same,” MG Motor India Chief Commercial Officer Gaurav Gupta said.
Earlier this month, MG Motor India and Tata Power had inaugurated a 60kW superfast EV charging station in Lucknow. A similar facility was opened by the two companies in Agra last month.
