Many testimonies who faced gender inequality also shared their stories and appeals. Young and energetic youth (women) from Sociology, Education, Mass communication etc background participated in the programme.

Around 35 people participated in the programme keeping social distance and wearing orange masks. Orange symbolizes a brighter future, free of violence. It also serves as a means of demonstration of our solidarity in eliminating all forms of violence and it is therefore used as a color of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

As an outcome of the consultation, various recommendations were suggested during the programme.

The Recommendations urge the government to look into various aspects for urgent action:

1. To form state gender policy.
2. To keep separate gender budget.
3. To review all the school textbooks of Manipur where women are portrayed in a degrading way. To especially review the book “Nachom” urgently.
4. To include gender issues in the syllabus and curriculum right from primary level.
5. To appoint women judge in every district.
6. To redress problems of street vendors.
7. To install DNA machine.
8. To segregate law and order & investigation unit of the Manipur Police Department.
9. To speed up compensation to all the pending victims of Crime Against Women.
10. Introduce policy to respond to the prevailing reproductive health situation to improve standard of living and quality of life of women and bridge the inequality gaps.
