GladAfrica Championship side Free State Stars have announced the appointment of Allan Freese as their new head coach.
The 64-year-old former Platinum Stars and Highlands Park boss was recently relieved from his duties as assistant coach with AmaZulu.
The former DStv Premiership side are struggling in the league this season and are currently bottom of the standings with two losses and three draws from their opening five matches.
They have repositioned Themba Sithole, who was in charge of the side, to become part of Freese's technical team.
The club's general manager Rantsi Mokoena told Soccer Laduma: "It's natural that when results are not forthcoming, we would look at making changes, especially because we believe the team is good enough.
"The only difference really is that Allan, who is a very experienced and senior coach, comes in and we expect Themba, a senior coach in his own right also, to work closely with him. All we are doing is strengthening the technical team."
Ea Lla Koto next host the University of Pretoria after a short holiday break, on Sunday, 3 January 2021.
Free State Stars were relegated when they finished last in the 2018/19 Premiership.
