eBikeGO & Hero Electric Partners For Last-Mile Deliveries: Here Are All Details
The e-mobility startup eBikeGO has announced its partnership with Hero Electric. Under the partnership, the two-wheeler manufacturer will supply over 1,000 bikes to transform last-mile deliveries. The first batch of 120 vehicles has been delivered to the startup.

Remaining electric scooters will be procured by eBikeGO in a phase-wise manner during FY 2020-2021. As part of the tie-up, Hero Electric will also provide service support to the startup through its over 600 pan-India dealer network along with a dedicated relationship manager for maximum uptime.

The electric scooters will be serviced end-to-end through Hero Electric's robust service model. The company will ensure the scooter's uptime will be around 90 per cent through the life of the vehicle.

According to the brands, the partnership will further transform the last mile deliveries switching from petrol to electric vehicles. Further, eBikeGO's EV technology and the internet of things (IoT) enabled operations will help businesses get maximum benefits.

Naveen Munjal, MD, Hero Electric, said, "At Hero Electric, we've always believed that to solve last-mile delivery connectivity, the best option is to go electric. In the endeavour to drive the same, we have many partners who help not only businesses but also consumers with an affordable and efficient solution. With this partnership, we look forward to leveraging the reach eBikeGO brings to further transform the space and bring more electric vehicles on road."

Irfan Khan, Founder and CEO, eBikeGO, said, ''We are on a mission to disrupt the way last-mile delivery happens in India, with our unique smart electric scooter utilisation model that provides for a transformation of the erstwhile delivery ecosystem. Our strategic alliance with Hero Electric eBikeGo will play a pivotal role in the mass adoption to electric 2-wheeler adoption in India."

Sohinder Gill, CEO Hero Electric, said, "The bike rental space is fast emerging as a viable alternative to bike ownership. We are happy to partner with serious players like eBikeGO to offer a great experience of a smooth and a pleasurable ride to a discerning customer who cares for the environment and wants an easy, effortless and joyful riding experience. With the introduction of versatile bikes like Nyx with a flexi range, Hero is getting a flurry of interest from different segments of B2B customers, may it be deliveries, rentals or bike-sharing."

Founded in 2017 in Amritsar, eBikeGO offers smart IoT-powered mobility solutions, currently providing bikes on subscription in five cities namely Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Amritsar, and Jaipur. The startup started with 640 users and is now providing mobility solutions in 8 cities to more than 18,000 users, as per the release.

In related news, eBikeGo recently announced that they will be undertaking the task of installing 3,000 IoT enabled public charging stations across five cities in the country. These charging stations will cater to both two-wheeler and three-wheeler electric vehicle users in respective cities.

The charging station will be installed in a phase-wise manner. The first five cities include New Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The company will begin the installation of these stations where the EVs are actively being used and in densely populated areas — here are all details.

Thoughts About Partnership Between eBikeGo & Hero Electric
The push for using electric vehicles in the country is becoming popular in recent times. We are noticing many services opting for an electric-only model for last-mile connectivity. The latest partnership between both companies will further help evolve the last-mile delivery business because of long-range Hero electric scooters supported by IoT technology from eBikeGO.
