Overall, 20 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 30 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, IndusInd Bank, Tech Mahindra, HDFC, HCL Tech and HDFC Bank were among top gainers, while Tata Motors, NTPC, Hindalco Industries, Nestle India and JSW Steel were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 112.41 points up at 47466.16. Traders were seen piling up position in Cables, Diversified, Aquaculture, Defence and Miscellaneous sectors, while selling were visible in Electric/Electronics, Learning & Education, Trading, Agro Processing and Metals - Ferrous sectors.
