In the absence of Virat Kohli, Mohammad Shami and even Umesh Yadav getting injured in the middle of the game, India did make a terrific comeback in the Border-Gavaskar Test series after the Adelaide humiliation. Indian cricket team were shot out for 36 in Adelaide and arrived for the Test in Melbourne low on confidence.

Ajinkya Rahane's men defeat Australia in a Boxing Day Test by eight wickets at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The Boxing Day Test saw Rahane also become the first player to get a unique medal.

Seeing the overall performance of the side with debutants Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj making good use of the opportunity provided, fans showered praises for the Men in Blue.

India won the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground by eight wickets to level the four-Test series 1-1. The third Test, it will take place from January 7, 2021.

As for India, Umesh Yadav is recovering well and the management and medical staff will take a call on his return. About Rohit Sharma's inclusion, he will be a part of the third and fourth Test.
