COVID death toll in Pune district touches 8,785, 23 patients recover

The Pune district recorded 328 new COVID cases and a single death in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits yesterday. 

The Pune district recorded 328 new COVID cases and a single death in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits yesterday. 

The death toll now stands at 8,785. 723 patients recovered and were discharged. So far, 3, 45,635 people have battled Covid. Of the fresh cases, 148 from PMC limits, 58 from Pimpri-Chinchwad, 100 in rural areas and 12 from cantonment limits. This has taken the tally of the total Covid cases to 3,61,068.

There are 3,832 active cases in the city out of which 333 are critical with 207 on ventilators and 126 without ventilators. PMC has recorded around 2lakh Covid cases and 4,399 deaths till yesterday, according to the Maharashtra health department.

Pune rural has recorded 87,498 total cases so far and a total of 2,059 deaths because of Covid. There are a total of 3, 70,962 Covid cases in the district. Of these, 3, 48,970 patients have recovered. There have been a total of 7,726 deaths in Pune district and at present, there are 14,231 active cases in the district.
