MUMBAI: Sixteen-year-old Mohammed Aiman Koli, who made a world record in Rubik's Cube solutions with feet last year, has entered the Guinness World Records.
A 10th grader at B D Somani school, Aiman, solved the 3x3 Rubik's Cube in the shortest time (15.56 seconds) with feet on December 27, 2019, breaking the American teenager Daniel Levine's record of 16.96 seconds. During the lockdown, when most teenagers were pursuing other hobbies, Aiman participated in several online competitions.
"Cubing is a nice way to keep the boredom away. It tests your patience and enhances intelligence," said Aiman. His earlier feats, recognized by WCA, include Rubik Cube's World Championship in Melbourne in July 2019 and 11 national records.
Aiman was nine when he began 'Cubing' with feet. Initially, he learnt it watching YouTube videos, and subsequently, from a tutor. He used to diligently watched others 'Cubing' on YouTube. Now others learn it by watching him.
