I have been approached by several individuals and institutions informing me about the challenges being faced by them due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic which has created financial and practical difficulties that in turn requires extended timeline to complete the regular compliances.
In view of this, they have requested for extending the due dates for Tax Audit & Transfer Pricing Audit to February 28, 2021, Income Tax Return filing to March 31, 2021 and the due date for filing Annual Returns under GST (GSTR 9) & Reconciliation Statement (GSTR 9C) for Financial year 2018-19 to January 31, 2021.
I would therefore request you to look into this keeping in view the financial and practical difficulties being faced by taxpayers and tax professionals around the country due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
