French research institute B.com receives EUR 30 mln for 5G private network project

The French government has awarded EUR 30 million to state-funded technology research institute B.com, as part of the country's EUR 100 billion stimulus plan announced in September to support economic recovery. The investment will help to fund a new project called "xG", aimed at strengthening digital sovereignty with a B2B offering focused on 5G private networks. The initiative's main objective is to meet the operational needs of companies and providers of vital infrastructures in areas ranging from cyber security to network customisation.
