6 Maoists arrested in Jharkhand, three of them carrying Rs 10 lakh reward

Dumka/Giridih, Dec 28 (UNI) In a joint operation conducted by police and CRPF, six ultras including three carrying a reward of Rs 10 lakh each, have been arrested in Jharkhand.

Among the six one is also an accused in the murder of the than Pakur SP Amarjeet Balihaar which had taken place in the year 2013 in Kathikund of Dumka district.

Further huge amount of arms and ammunition have been also recovered by acting on the inputs of the arrested ultras.

Among the arrested included Prashant Da alias Chutka Manjhi alias Suraj Da, Prabha Di alias Prabha Soren, Sudhir alias Suleiman Kisku, Ranjeet Tudu, Chotu Lal Hansda and Ujjwal Ganjhu.

Police said that among the arrested Prashant Da and Sudhir have confessed to their role in many incidents which have taken place in Santhal Pargana. Police said that after the death of Tala Da alias Sahdeo Rai, Sudhir was given the charge of Dumka area.

He was also involved in encounter with police which had taken place on June 2, 2019 in Kathalia under Raneshwar Police Station area in which a jawan of SSB was martyred.

After interrogating the arrested Maoists, two INSAS rifles, two SLR rifles, 1 .303 rifle, a .315 rifle, a colt AR 15 rifle, 1 magazine Insas, four magazine SLR, a magazine .303, 18 magazine charges, 50 rounds of Insas cartridges, 135 SLR cartridges, 1000 detonators and five neogel were recovered.
