Karnataka reports 653 fresh cases of COVID-19

Bengaluru, Dec 28(UNI) Karnataka reported 653 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the last 24-hours, taking the total number of cases in the state to 9,16,909 on Monday.
According to official sources as many as 8 new COVID-19 related deaths were also reported on Monday, taking the fatalities in the state to 12,070.
The sources also informed that on Monday as many as 1,178 COVID-19 patients were discharged after being
completely cured from the illness.
It was also stated that in the last 24-hours as many as 67,742 people had undergone COVID-19 tests, including that of 3,437 of the Rapid Antigen Detection Test.
The sources also informed that till Monday as many as 1,766 passengers who arrived from the United Kingdom, had undergone RT-PCR tests and 27 of them have tested positive, while reports of another 355 are awaited.
