Minerva Academy win

Minerva Academy Football Club defeated International FC 3-1 in the Punjab Super League II today.

The game had a good flow in the opening minutes as both sides held decent spells of possession. However, it was International FC lads who scored the first goal to enter the lemon break with a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Minerva levelled the score through Anwar Ali, who successfully converted a spot kick. The goal came in the 72nd minute.

Thereafter, Minerva was ahead by 2-1 in the 89th minute, after a cross from Nikhil Pal was driven into the penalty area where Sreyas swing it home with his left foot. Sreyas was again involved as he combined with Mohit to score the third goal.

Mohit shot a cross and Sreyas received it at the top of the penalty area before posting the ball over the goal line in the injury time. Minerva will now play their next match in Amritsar in January 6.
