At the inauguration of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme in Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wore a local traditional dress, which was given as a gift last year by a farm laborer from the Union Territory.

Modi was seen wearing a Ferran at the event organized through video conferencing. According to sources, Modi had planned to wear the gifted pharaon during his upcoming visit to Jammu and Kashmir, but due to the Corona epidemic, there was no plan to visit his union territory.

Recently, the Prime Minister wore a Bengali shawl at several events organized through digital media. This long dress is part of Kashmir's tradition and culture. In Persian, it is called Pehrahan.
