A month old murder case of a man identified as Raju was solved by the police with the arrest of his brother and his three aides.
Raju had come to know about illicit relationship of his brother with his wife. So, his brother killed him.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Ashok Kumar, Raju’s brother, of Banda Bahadur Colony, Azad Alarm of Deep Vihar Colony, Pawan Kumar of Salem Tabri, and Izmamulhaq of Fambra.
Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP) Bhagirath Meena, Additional DCP Deepak Pareek and other officials conducted a press conference regarding the matter today.
Key suspect Ashok had illicit relationship with his brother Raju’s wife, the JCP said. He considered Raju as hurdle in their illicit relationship, the JCP added.
Ashok along with his aide had given Rs50,000 to contract killers Azad and Pawan, the JCP said.
After taking money, on November 2, the suspects cornered the victim in Jodhewal and killed him by bludgeoning his head with bricks, the JCP added. Later, when probe was started in the case, involvement of victim’s brother came to the fore and he along with his aides was arrested, the JCP said.
The police also recovered two mobile phones and a motorcycle from the suspects, the JCP added.
