Kerala Blasters recorded its first victory of the Indian Super League season (ISL 2020-21) with a 2-0 win over Hyderabad FC at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim on Sunday.

Abdul Hakku's first half header and Jordan Murray's late strike saw the Blasters secure a hard-fought win, their first in seven games. This is also the club's first win since February this year.

Hakku broke the deadlock in the 29th minute when he slipped past his marker to nod home Facundo Pereyra's corner and net his first goal in the ISL.

The 26-year-old centre-back, who signed a three-year contract this year, played his first game of the season on Saturday.

Australian striker Murray bagged his second goal of the season when he found the back of the net in the 88th minute.

The win sees Kibu Vicuna's men remain on the ninth spot with six points, while Hyderabad is a spot above with nine points from seven games.
