AAP leadership pays obeisance at Shaheedi Jor Mela

Chandigarh/Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, Dec 27 (UNI) All the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab paid obeisance at Gurudwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib on the occasion of Shaheedi Jor Mel, commemorating the unparalleled martyrdom of ‘Chote Sahibjadas’ on Sunday.

The leaders bowed down to the sacrifices of ‘Chotte Sahibjadas’ and prayed to give them the courage to take the path shown by the Gurus, of fighting against the tyranny. AAP state president and MP Bhagwant Mann and Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in Punjab Legislative Assembly, Harpal Singh Cheema said, “Today we, being humble Sikhs, have come to pay homage to the sacrifices of the ‘Chotte Sahibjadas’. We pray to God to give us the courage to fight against the oppression.”

The AAP leaders said the ‘Sahibjadas’ had sacrificed their lives for the cause of truth and oppression before the tyrants of that time. They said there was not much difference between the tyrants of that time and the present governments. “Those who raised their voices against oppression were persecuted then and are being persecuted today as well,” the leaders said. They said that it was the color of nature that even at the time of martyrdom of ‘Chotte Sahibzadas’ there was cold winds of winter and even today it was the same month, and the devotees following the path shown by Guru Gobind Singh ji were fighting against oppression of today’s ruler (government).
